External Transport Manager Services
Transport operators that operate vehicles which exceed 3.5 tonnes must hold a Standard International, Standard National, or Restricted Operator Licence.
To apply for and hold a Standard National or International HGV Operator Licence, you are obliged to employ an internal or external CPC-qualified Transport Manager who oversees your transport operations.
An ‘external’ Transport Manager (ETM) is not an employee of the business but a contracted freelancer who provides sufficient expertise to deliver transport management services to the Transport Operator. They are a competent professional designated to ensure that vehicles are roadworthy and drivers comply with all relevant rules and legislation. Contracting an external Transport Manager is cost-efficient and offers flexibility to the Operator.

External Transport Manager monthly fees vary between £350 and £420 for the first vehicle, and between £100 and £120 for each additional vehicle. Prices are negotiated and adjusted on a case-by-case basis.
